How did our business begin?
Our founder, Maya Thompson, is a Marine Biologist working along the Pacific Coast. Climate Change has always been a concern of hers. While researching, she became interested in kelp. Specifically, using kelp as a regenerative food to help heal the planet. Maya works with local ocean farmers to gather kelp responsibly and work it into food. Today, our business stands as proof that sustainable food can be part of a solution.
Values & Beliefs
We believe food should nourish people and help restore the planet.
Kelp is one of nature’s most powerful climate solutions. It grows without fresh water, fertilizer, or land, absorbs carbon, supports ocean ecosystems, and offers a regenerative path for our food system.
We are committed to science-backed impact, transparent sourcing, and supporting coastal communities through responsible ocean farming.
Most of all, we believe climate solutions should be simple, scalable, and delicious.
By choosing kelp, we’re choosing a healthier ocean and a healthier future.
